Manager, Marketing Acquisition Northern, VA Description:Job Summary:The Manager of Marketing Acquisition will establish and maintain relationships with a variety of programming partners, geared toward increasing Cox product penetration and market share, leading to increased product sales across multiple channels. The Manager of Marketing Acquisition will be responsible for developing customer promotions, identifying & monitoring subscriber activity across all products and services to drive customer growth and meet ongoing marketing objectives. The manager will also identify, monitor and analyze residential subscriber trends for video, high speed Internet & telephony products to provide information necessary to drive customer growth & meet ongoing marketing / business objectives. The Manager of Marketing Acquisition tactically implements locally developed marketing promotions designed to drive acquisition of all products and services. The manager will work with a cross functional team including sales, product marketing, retention marketing, marketing sciences, IT, field operations and finance to achieve stated objectives.Illustrative Accountabilities Responsible for all customer acquisition strategy and tactics which includes monitoring and developing campaign offers to market Cox services to non-subs and existing subscribers via direct mail, print, alternative media, broadcast TV, radio, cross-channel, e-mail and online tactics, outbound telemarketing, insert programs, bill inserts, etc. Provide creative direction for all acquisition offers and campaigns and work closely with internal creative team, Cox Media and with outside agencies Provide scripts for acquisition and upgrade outbound telemarketing campaigns as well as tags for 30 and 60 second TV spots and copy for acquisition pieces and campaign materials. Coordinate with IT and Product Marketing to ensure that all offers are executed properly in ICOMs billing system. Develop and manage strict campaign calendar from offer concept stage, copy/creative design, list pull, print and mail house and in-home dates. Work closely with premium partners to develop and execute cooperative offers and campaigns (HBO, Showtime, Starz, Scientific Atlanta, Washington Redskins, etc.). Manage negotiations for partner support. Monitor weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual reports and metrics (churn, retention, CPLs, CPCs, etc.) to track subscriber acquisition growth across all product lines. Embrace a test and control environment to continuously test new offers, creative, and efficiently expand into new marketing channels. Work with Marketing Science to continuously optimize marketing spend efficiency by lowering cost per lead (CPL), cost per connect (CPC), and maximizing Campaign NPV across all channels for all campaigns. Develop sound short, mid and long range marketing strategy and plans in order to meet business objectives across multiple sales channels. Implement marketing campaigns to grow subscriber base. Manage offers to achieve effective rate (average revenue per sub) for all RGUs and premium services. Work closely with internal sales channels (inbound call center and door to door sales) to understand needs and trends, which will directly influence marketing strategy. Work closely with marketing coordinators to develop operating expense budgets. Utilize customer analysis and research from the Marketing Science team to inform campaign strategy. Develop and monitor marketing budget and expense P&L to ensure budget is achieved. Supervise and coach direct reports. Attend meetings / conduct presentations as needed. Assist on coordinating & staffing system events.Qualifications:Qualifications Bachelors degree in marketing or related field; an MBA is a plus. Must have minimum of 4-6 years of marketing leadership experience in subscription-based industry. Knowledge of communications industry or industry experience preferred. Proven supervisory / leadership experience. Excellent project management skills or experience required. Strong organizational skills required. Must have the ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple projects & complete projects under tight deadlines. Strong computer skills required, including MS Word & Excel. Requires the ability to analyze consumer data, summarize findings in report form and make appropriate recommendations to senior leadership. Requires strong analytical ability, accuracy & attention to detail. Expert proofreading skills required to manage accuracy and consistency of copy and creative. Excellent verbal and written skills required. Qualified applicant must be able to deliver persuasive presentations across a cross functional team.
