Job Title: Maintenance Electrician I

Due to our continued growth and customer demand, we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Maintenance Electrician I for an opportunity located in Joliet, IL.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Install, maintain and repair electrical and electronic power and control systems and components on plant and production equipment. Repair or replace defective equipment or system components. Install conduit, cable, and wiring to support installed equipment in accordance with plans. Perform periodic inspections of systems and equipment in accordance with established maintenance schedule. Perform all work in accordance with applicable state and local codes, manufacturers’ specifications, product installation and operating manuals, etc.

• In accordance with electrical codes, project layout, and instructions, bend and install ½� to 4� electrical conduit with appropriate junctions and end hardware. Install conduit in a safe and secure manner.

• Place and mount electrical power and control devices in accordance with specifications; pull and test wires.

• Connect and disconnect electrical equipment in a safe and correct manner. Perform basic function tests as required.

• Perform initial investigation of equipment or system failures. If possible, correct problem and restore system function immediately.

• Perform periodic inspections of systems and equipment.

 

Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent plus completion of a formal technical school or apprenticeship program in electrical construction, installation, and maintenance, and

• One to two years of electrical and/or electro-mechanical experience, preferably in an industrial setting.

- Requires some familiarity with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
