Work Schedule - Sunday - Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Work performed will be as follows: disconnects, reconnects, demonstrated ability to explain all services offered by Comcast. Full installations, pre-wire, verification surveys, converter swap or pick-up, reconnect, advance analog installations, and service calls. Ability, attitude, motivation and skills will be assessed. Must demonstrate professionalism, a commitment to standards of excellence and, the customer service philosophy of Comcast. Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors, will climb ladders and possibly telephone poles for access to our facilities. Clean, maintain and stock vehicle and equipment in order to be prepared to perform required duties. Complete associated paperwork with each work order in a timely manner in order to ensure all details of the work are recorded for entry in the customer's account once the work is checked in. Determine acceptability of service by reviewing picture quality on each piece of equipment in customers residence following installation of cable service to ensure the clarity of picture, all equipment is in solid working order, provide the customer with materials regarding channel line up, use of converter and company policies as they relate to the customer as well as demonstrate these skills in order to educate the customer on the use of the equipment and company guidelines to ensure our customers have received exceptional customer service and more! Report need for vehicle repair or service when required and/or prescribed. Report any accidents, losses, injuries or property damage to supervisor and customer when appropriate. Apply knowledge and skills of training on the job in order to prepare for transition to CommTech 3 within 12 months of hire. Must be able to lift up to 70 - 80 lbs. and be familiar with and operate necessary hand tools and vehicles as required. Installs, reconnects, disconnects, adds and/or troubleshoots service for video, internet, and Comcast Digital Voice, through switched circuit, VoIP, or digital voice technology in compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC). This position requires a valid driver's license and exceptional driving record. Punctual, regular and consistent attendance a must. Perform other duties as requested by supervisor in order to achieve departmental goals and objectives."


Required Skills:
Education: Must have either a high school diploma or verifiable, state recognized G.E.D. Must possess proven exceptional customer relations skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and must possess the desire to be successful in a highly competitive business. Must have a valid Michigan driver's license that includes an exceptional driving record. Must be able to lift and carry 80lbs, and be able to climb a ladder to heights of approximately 30 feet. Completion of required forms and work orders accurately and neatly is essential. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. The ideal candidate must enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Must be confident making decisions' daily that impact both our valued customers and our business in a positive manner.
