Lead Software Engineer - .NET


The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for application engineering in support of next generation tools throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. Specifically, this role requires architecture, design, build, documentation and handoff to operations. Provides work direction to a team of developers to deliver business value. The development environment consists of ASP.NET 2.0, Visual Studio 2005, C#, NUnit, Watin, SQL Server 2005, MySQL and other web development tools.

Requirements
SNAPSHOT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develop and maintain web pages using ASP.NET 2.0, Visual Studio 2005 as IDE and C # as the primary language.

· Write stored procedures in SQL Server 2005 and MySQL 5.1 to populate web pages.

· Follows Test Driven Development (TDD) technique. Write Unit tests using NUnit framework and Watin is used for web application testing

· Assesses and recommends tools and technologies

· Leads the design process as a part of the software engineering organization

· Designs, develops and maintains object-relational mapping

· Provides input on software development lifecycle (SDLC) process, methods and tools.

· Assist in production issues with newly deployed systems as needed.

· Leads performance tuning initiatives to optimize system response times.



Candidate MUST meet minimum requirements for education/experience to be considered for this position!

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum of a Computer Science degree or equivalent strongly preferred

· Minimum of 7 years experience in software engineering, preferably with multiple applications deployed using .NET 2.0

· Work experience in the .NET environment including but not limited to Network protocols and databases, system administration and .NET programming.

· Knowledge of SQL Server and MySQL.
