Advance your career with EMBARQ today! Tier: Career Professional Legal Analyst will perform a variety of tasks under the direction of the organization's attorneys. In particular, the Legal Analyst will work individually and together with lawyers to negotiate and draft contracts and handle business disputes with suppliers. In addition, he or she will likely be asked to provide support to the Embarq patent program, including summarizing invention ideas for consideration by business leaders. The successful candidate must be energetic, willing to learn new skills and possess mature judgment and excellent organizational and communication skills. Qualifications A combination of a college degree or equivalent experience totaling 5 years post-high school Very good problem-solving skills with the ability to provide competent legal assistance to attorneys handling legal matters involving moderate to heavy legal exposure Excellent analytical abilities and written and oral communication skills, experience working with contracts and related issues, including review, drafting and negotiation Excellent team player, coordinating well with peers, supervisor, others in Legal and Business departments Preferred: Paralegal Certificate or equivalent course work and training Knowledge of telecommunications Knowledge or experience with contracts and contract negotiationBe an integral part of the action and grow with us as we lead the communications industry into the future.
