Jr. Windows System Administrator
Monmouth Telecom, headquartered in Red Bank, New Jersey, is a dynamic and fast growing Competitive Local Exchange Company. We offer a complete package of voice and data solutions for small, medium and large business customers throughout the state of New Jersey. Monmouth Telecom is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Junior Windows System Administrator.
Systems include WINDOWS server and workstation platforms, as well as hardware and networking.
Responsibilities:
l Provide back-end technical support to existing server and workstation infrastructure, Network Operations and Company staff
l Work directly with IT Manager and Senior System Administrator to ensure smooth network and systems operations
l System Administration for Windows 2000 Servers, XP, XP Pro
l Maintain customer-facing and internal servers
l Maintain Windows system services and applications
l Manage tape and network-based backups
l Utilize Company trouble ticket system
l Occasional after-hours systems maintenance
To qualify for this position, you must meet these minimum requirements:
l Strong customer service skills
l 2 yrs experience supporting Windows systems in a production environment
l PC hardware implementation in a production environment
l Basic networking skills, including IP addressing and Ethernet cabling
l Problem solving and critical thinking skills
Starting Salary is commensurate on experience but ranges $35-40K
