Inventory Accountant

A Leading Telecommunication Company located in Somerset County, New Jersey has the need for an Inventory Accountant who will be responsible for the following activities:

 

- Meet the needs of a public company and evolving business model

- Support the core accounting and reporting activities of our distribution channel which represents activity of more than $430M projected for 2008

- Reconciliation of monthly balance sheet accounts sport an aggregate value ranging between $100-150M

- Heavy interaction with VMU Supply Chain Operations, General Accounting, and the Sales departments

- Preparation of the core journal entries and reconciliations

- Third party warehouse/distribution services accruals

- Sales & Cost of Goods and Product Return accrual & reconciliation

- Price Protection, Liquidation, Inventory Valuation reconciliation including reserves for slow moving & obsolete products

- Assisting with cycle count and physical inventory process at third party distribution centers

- Assist with the update and maintenance of SARBOX process documentation

 

Qualified Candidates for this position will possess:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

- 5+ years of related experience

- Knowledge of General Ledger reconciliations, inventory and costing, variance reporting, and standard accounting practices

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

 

The compensation range for this exciting opportunity is from $75,000 to $85,000 great benefits (medical, dental) and a 401k plan with match.
