Job Posting ID: 1385Working Location: Bethesda, MarylandEmployment Type: Full-Time RegularPosition Summary:This position is for an experienced IT Data Analyst that will oversee several major systems, including Micorosoft Dynamics SL Business financial suite (AR,AP,GL,ReQLogic, Databascis, BIO/FRX, Forecaster.), Salesforce.com, and inhouse .NET applications. The Data Analyst's role is to develop, test, implement and document applications using tools such as MS Visual Studio, MS SQL Server Management Studio and web based scripting. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the application development group. The Data Analyst will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This person will also define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices. This position will work closley with end users to resolve report and application-realted issues. Minimum Requirements:Critical Responsibilities1.Provide critical and ongoing support to Accounting Operations for MS Dynamics SL Financials. 2.Perform day to day duties of a data analyst including the ERP system, the BI systems, and the budgeting system. 3.Document MS Dynamics SL table structures and processing methods and support system configuration requirements as well as modifications to reference tables, GL account structures and other enhancements as defined by Accounting Operations.4.Work with organization's users to provide a visibility into the development work queue and delivery timelines.5.Design financial and management reports using Crystal Reports, FRX, and SQL Reports 6.Oversee all MS Dynamics SL and .NET integration production issues to insure that any triage are addressed according to their severity and priority to the organization.7.Work directly with business owners to define project objectives and goals.8.Develops, tests, implements, and documents applications. Important Responsibilities1.Assist with database administration duties2.May assist with development and security of IT operations3.Collaborate with various IT staff and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications4.Learn new methods and techniques to modernize and expand current operations.5.Evaluate and/or recommend appropriate software development standards and tools.6.Work with software vendors in using and applying pertinent tools of the trade7.Reporting: Status, issues, problems and accomplishments 8.Coordinate user training and created detailed user instructions to train end users on the various applications9.Install, configure and upgrade operating systems and software using standard business and administrative packages10.Implement system level controls, documentation, and procedures for regulatory and compliance needs including Sarbanes Oxley. Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities •Demonstrated knowledge of accounting transaction flow from data entry in subsidiary ledgers through the general ledger to financial statements and project reporting from profit and loss reports through unbilled and backlog.•Experience managing ERP development (MS Dynamics SL development preferred)•7+ Years IT experience; IT management experience•Very strong knowledge of T-SQL and/or ProSQL•Knowledge of MS SQL Server and/or Oracle databases. Be able to build and manage custom views and stored procdures.•Excellent written and communication skills.This position requires a U.S. Government Security Clearance at the Secret level; or the ability to secure and maintain such a U.S. Government clearance as a continued condition of employment.
