Information Security Engineer

eTelecare Global Solutions offers a unique approach to outsourced customer care.  Instead of cutting costs by cutting corners, eTelecare creates value for our clients, their customers and our employees by investing to outperform.  Onshore and offshore, we focus on oversight, performance and opportunities for breakthrough improvement in every aspect of our operations.  The result is superior service, lower costs and a level of satisfaction that turns customers into champions for our clients.   The purpose of this role is to analyze the information security requirements of various lines of business and impacts.  This will be achieved through:  Monitoring of alerts and reports generated by the SIEM -security information event monitor which will come through a combination of email and through monitoring through the SIEM console itself Investigate SIEM alerts through use of various information tools such as traceroute, nslookup, netstat, wireshark, netcat, nbtstat, nessus, nmap Perform basic system maintenance and troubleshooting such as starting and stopping of services Investigate incidents by working with various department heads Interviewing and communicating security issues to employees and managers across the enterprise Logging of daily reports and alerts in a system such as Microsoft Access database Documenting work activities and current data and system accesses with analysis and recommendations to modify Information Security controls as appropriate to balance operational needs and organization risk. Providing assistance in testing, monitoring and maintaining developed Information Security technologies Providing project management with an emphasis on information security and providing initial information security expertise to project teams and technology initiatives Proactive identification of security issues Vulnerability scanning and reporting Vulnerability remediation planning with various IT departmentsDaily Responsibilities:  Daily Threat analysis Attends project meetings and reports potential security issues Assists with on-going business impact analyses Assists with risk assessments Assembles/collects reporting metrics User awareness training and security reminders Security Incident response as needed based on security alerts and event monitoring After hours on call rotation with other Engineers and Sr. infosec Eng. Policy / Technical Standard revision as needed with Changes in technology      Qualifications:  Skills Successful candidates must possess the following skills:  Ability to analyze business process flow and identify information security risks within complex activities Ability to create requirements that enable chosen solutions to be developed and tested with minimal analysis and support Ability to concisely describe complex activities verbally and in writing Outstanding time management skill and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines Strong oral presentation and written skills Ability to track and report work activities accurately and hit deadlines  Knowledge The successful candidate will possess knowledge in the following list of technologies:  Firewalls Intrusion detection/prevention systems Multi-factor authentication & access controls Windows and Linux servers, basic understanding of file system General understanding of CPU architecture what platforms run on CISC and RISC based CPU Authorization controls Familiar with attack vector terminology eg. Noop sled, buffer and stack overflows, Trojans, malware Auditing/policy enforcementInformation Security controls Authentication and authorization models eg.
