IT Security Engineer

General Summary: Perform Quarterly Vulnerability Assessments, keep security tools up-to-date, and configure firewalls, IDS, IPS, Event Correlation, Multi-Factor Authentication, Juniper IVE, and BlueCoat content filtration engines.  Develop processes and procedures; provide documentation to 'operationalize' the information security platforms for the Operations team.  Track security notices, keep current with vulnerabilities, exploit practices and technologies in regards to Internet Protocol Security, provide training sessions and mentoring for other members of the converged communications and operations departments.  Work with Global Information Security to ensure compliance to company Information Security Policy and Guidelines, interface with other teams as it comes to information security and provide expertise in the event of a virus outbreak to the CIRT team. This is 24x7 operation, so this person must be able to communicate effectively with other team members to facilitate change.  Must be flexible as to hours of work.  Requires a self-starter capable of working in a team environment without direct supervision, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough knowledge of the Call Center environments that we support.  Duties and Responsibilities: - Review security audit tools through scripts and IDS.- Implement new customers into TeleTech's infrastructure.- Perform tier 3 break/fix escalation on network security devices.- Develop improved processes and develop new technology solutions in support of the global security architecture.- Assist in Vulnerability Assessments and remediation efforts.- Maintain and audit network firewalls and rule sets.- Work with Global Information Security to ensure compliance to company Information Security Policy and Guidelines.- After-hours on-call support (team rotation).  Job Specifications: - BA/BS in a computer-related field, or security-related certification or equivalent.- Excellent written and spoken communication skills (English).- Experience with working in an enterprise-level company with multiple firewalls, large remote locations, multiple security initiatives, multiple clients.- Proven experience in maintaining a high quality and reliable telecommunications infrastructure to a multi-platform, multi-site environment.- Strong troubleshooting and support skills in complex client/server systems.  Familiar with network troubleshooting.  Understanding of voice and data communication and telecommunication technology.- Ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.- Self-motivated and able to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.- Excellent time management and strong documentation skills.- Strong ability to multi-task and maintain multiple projects at once.- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.- Spanish written/spoken skills a plus.- Team-motivated, especially when troubleshooting issues - the entire team must be able to work with other groups (network, telecom, NT server team) to fix an issue.- Ability to communicate and interact with a variety of people at different levels.- Desire to "own" a system by taking responsibility for it and working to improve the overall performance and usability. .
