Field Technician

We are presently seeking a Field Technician to install and service telecommunications equipment.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

§ Basic installation and repair of residential and business phone service

§ Basic installation and repair of data services

§ Inside wiring for telephones, fax machines, computer modems, etc.

§ Troubleshooting complex problems on customer premise and co-location sites, to include ISDN lines, T1, POTS (plus other data circuits), and use test equipment. 

§ Analyze chronic service problems and recommend solutions. Identify trends within service area, find root cause and recommend solution.

§ Coordinating and performing advanced series cuts before, during and after business hours.

§ Conducting customer site surveys for various product offerings. Assisting Sales with understanding the customer’s current applications and future need.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 1+ years Telecommunications experience in Central Office or Field Installation.Excellent communication skills.Advanced PC skills.Working knowledge of Customer Premise Equipment.Ability to interact with customer is critical.
