Facility Locate Technician

(S)he will set up safety equipment and work area protection, performing utility locates in areas where excavation is required. This position will also assist with investigation of damages to facilities where locate requests were involved.Responsibilities: Interpret Verizon and other utility's maps/records. Place roadside safety equipment; clearly mark utility routes. Perform utility locates; operate locating equipment; pothole utilities by manual means. Operate company vehicle. Interact with customers; assist with investigating damages to facilities. Assist in training other employees; perform other duties as assigned.Required For The Position: Must successfully complete all required Company test implemented for the position, including but not limited to the following: Universal Test Battery-Revised (UTB-R). Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, shifts, call-outs, and flexible hours. Must have good communication skills. Must have a high school education, GED Certificate, or equivalent experience as determined by the Company. Must have a valid state driver's license and safe driving record. This job requires working outdoors, repetitive bending, kneeling, squatting, standing or sitting and heavy lifting.
