Engineering Technician

Symmetricom designs, manufactures and markets atomic clocks and network synchronization and timing solutions used in wireline and wireless telecom networks, space, defense and avionics systems, and enterprise IT networks. Our customers include network service providers, telecom equipment manufacturers, military and aerospace contractors, enterprises, as well as government and research facilities in over 90 countries around the globe.

 

Responsibilities:

Lab Technician who can work on electrical and mechanical systems and fixtures, system integration (racking equipment and bringing it up), prototype assemblies and test equipment.  Technician role will also include repair responsibilities at the circuit board and box level.

 

Essential Qualifications:

Experience with electrical assemblies, production, test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers), and comfortable documenting procedures.  Familiarity with schematics and has the ability to troubleshoot circuits based on schematics. 

 

Desired Qualifications:

Computer capable in unix and Windows, experience with networking test equipment
