Engineer II- Cross Platform Applications

"Responsible for the methodical execution of detailed testing efforts on all new and existing Comcast Products and Services. This testing is performed to ensure requirement compliance as outlined by the BU, Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams as well as to pursue a zero defect customer experience. Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance."

Required Skills:
"Education/Experience ? B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field. The equivalent in directly related experience and self study may be substituted. ? Experience in a Testing or a Product QA environment is preferred. ? Work experience in the Cable industry is desired but Engineering work in a related field will be considered. ? Hands-on experience and detailed knowledge of CPE software, client side applications, Operating Systems, and Internet Browsers ? Experience with IP networks over Cable a plus ? Strong technical writing skills and the ability to document testing results in a clear and concise manner Specialized Training ? Knowledge and experience with broadband network architecture and equipment (routers, switches, hubs, firewalls, SNMP, servers: DHCP, DNS, TFTP, TCP/IP, etc.) ? Understanding of email protocols (POP3, IMAP, SMTP, HTTP (webmail)) ? Experience with Internet communication protocols (SIP, XMPP) ? Microsoft Exchange Server Administration / Implementation ? Knowledge of PSTN Service Requirements and Implementations ? Familiarity with Cedar Point Safari and Cisco BTS soft switches ? Experience with Openwave Messaging Platform ? CMTS - Arris C4, Cisco VXR, Motorola BSR ? Perl scripting, Shell scripting, VB scripting ? Tools - Mercury Quality Center, Loadrunner, Quick Test Pro Required/Preferred Certifications ? Linux System Administration ? Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCVP, CCIE ? Sun System Administration"
