Centauri Solutions has openings for qualified Electronic Technicians to work on a government-contractor team. The electronic technicians are responsible for all of the Satellite Communications, Microwave, or terrestrial equipment. FTEs are required to maintain and install all level 1/2 (physical/data link) layer equipment. All outages, changes and inventory updates must be coordinated with and update associated documentation provided to NGA/OGS.

 

Electronics Technicians are required to maintain and install all long haul communications equipment. Installation efforts require look angle calculation, frequency request and compliance, dish setup, and verification of link establishment. This job also requires operation and interpretation of spectrum analyzer data

Duties include:

 

· Long Haul Communications Management, monitoring, and sustainment

· Compliance with all associated guidance and directives in the Special instructions to Communicators (SINC)

· Compliance with all associated DoD, NGA, associated COCOMs, and local Instructions

· Use standard NGA reporting systems to report and track all local and enterprise issues associated with Network and Systems Operations

 

 

Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI is required.

 

Must have experience with the following equipment:

 

· NorSAT

· TriBand

· SweDish

· Other VSAT terminals

· All associated Modems

· iDirect 5300 series

· COMTECH slim 5650

· Global SatCOM antenna

· GBS

· DMIGS (Ku and C Band)

· MIGS-II (TROJAN LITE)

 

 

Qualifications for Electronic Technician:

 

 Electronics Technicians must have 3 or more years experience as a SATCOM technician with experience in long haul terrestrial communications.Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.Ability to work independently with excellent problem solving skills.High level of organization, attention to detail and follow-through

 

 

There will be a six month deployment to locations at the discretion of the government.
