Due to our continued success and growth, Newisys has an opening for an Electrical Engineer. This is an opportunity to join the Newisys team for an exciting career on the cutting edge in Data Storage product design. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for detail design of electronics modules, circuit stimulation, PCB layout, design validation, and product release into volume production. The Engineer will design using Mentorgraphics and Cadence CAD tools. Activities include using state of the art simulation tools to predict signal integrity before the PCB is built. This position will technically challenge the candidate and allows opportunity for growth in many directions in the field of product development. The engineer will have the opportunity to interface directly with customer development teams and contribute to product architecture.Qualifications required: BSEE or equivalent engineering degree. 6+ years experience in product development, together with strong written and oral communication skills. Disk drive storage systems and high speed PCB design techniques are desirable. Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
