EXPERIENCED SALES MANAGER

Description


The Branch Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of Sales Executives in the relentless pursuit of new business in the assigned territory. The Sales Manager will Recruit, Develop and Coach the team to achieve success in a high activity, outside sales model. This position contributes to One Communications’ success by leading efforts to maximize the achievement of revenue growth and market share through the acquisition of new customers. This will be accomplished by providing strong leadership, direction, and guidance to this high activity, outside sales team.


Responsibilities

• Lead team of Direct Outside Sales Representatives responsible for presenting One Communications' integrated voice, data, and Internet services to potential clients. This involves daily field activity which includes cold calling, appointment setting, closing deals, etc.
• Inspire sales team to meet performance objectives - rewards positive performance and closely manages poor performance. Quickly recognizes colleagues who are underperforming and takes appropriate corrective action. Accurately assesses the strengths and weaknesses of others and assembles, deploys develops, empowers and inspires the right talent, at the right time, to get the job done.
• Manage high activity, outside sales/cold calling model, and able to drive daily results and accountability.
• Recruit successful salespeople to ensure headcount objectives are met. Closely monitors turnover within team.
• Meet all management objectives regarding activity, headcount and sales results.
• Utilize evaluation and tracking systems to accurately report sales numbers, monthly forecasts and expenses. Maintain expertise in sales process and system management. Able to provide accurate and timely information as required.
• Implement sales plans designed to increase sales activity, 30, 60, & 90 day funnels, and sales skill set ratios.
• Develop programs for improving and monitoring sales performance and productivity.



Requirements

· A proven, successful background in telecommunication Sales and Sales Management. 

· 3-10 years experience preferred.

· Strong knowledge of Voice, Date and Internet services.

· Demonstrated ability to recruit, train and develop salespeople.

· Previous success in a high activity, outside sales, cold calling environment.

· Documented leadership examples.

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage colleagues, clients and vendors in a fast paced sales/service environment.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

MS office
Experience using a sales tracking tool

Work Environment / Travel / Hours:
M-F 8am-6pm local travel required daily
Some regional travel required for new hire and on-going training
