Distribution Center Manager

The Distribution Center Manager will manage a stand alone Distribution Center.  Ensuring Compliance with all policies and SOP’s while adhering to safety regulations. Scope of responsibilities is: $1.2 MM Operating Budget, $10 MM inventory value, shipping & receiving 120-150 shipments per day, with staff responsibility  of 3 exempt and 12 non-exempt employees. This role will maintain established high level of customer service and implement and sustain KPI initiatives. Must have demonstrated ability to manage inventory integrity and accuracy to exacting standards of (+/-) -1%.

 


The following are key responsibilities for the Distribution Center Manager:

 Manage to established budgeted forecasts hourly and temporary labor, supplies, and 3PL services $1.2 MM annuallyExecute warehouse performance in accordance with established KPI’sMaintain inventory integrity starting at inbound through outbound including storage and handling, to support cycle counts + / - 99.5% accuracy, physical shrinkage -1%Manage warehouse productivity through adherence to SOPs and identifying continuous improvement opportunities. Establish and measure warehouse KPI’s for productivity Manage inventory (1500+ SKUs) valued at $10MM and conduct weekly cycle counts to achieve inventory accuracy of  99.5% Ensure customer service levels are maintained or exceeded.  Outbound shipment audits to achieve 99.8% accuracy. Establish and measure complaints due to non-compliance. Administer compliance with all distribution safety, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, HAZMAT) including, proper licenses, and employee trainingOperate distribution center by building and sustaining employee development, recognition, and discipline.

 

This position requires the following:

 Bachelors degree Required in Business or LogisticsSeven to Ten (7-10) years of experience in material management emphasis in warehousing, Inventory Control and Logistics ManagementStrong managerial, leadership skills; able to work independently and exercise judgment as appropriateMicrosoft business applications, (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) radio frequency (r/f) receiving and shipping experienceExcellent communications and problem solving skills; ability to exercise initiative within established guidelinesAble to supervise, train workforce, and establish performance expectations.
