Director of Telecommunications Position Title: Director of TelecommunicationsReports To: VP of IT InfrastructurePrimary Function: The Director of Telecommunications is responsible for all telecommunications activities for the organization. This includes both internal and customer-facing solutions. The Director confers with and advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods. This individual also works with Teleperformance clients and internal Operational staff to determine solutions that best meet the needs of our clients.Areas of Responsibility:· Developing, deploying and managing a reliable state-of-the-art voice infrastructure to support the communications needs of our clients as well as internal staff· Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal staff as well as client contacts· Directing the Telecommunications manager, emphasizing a strong customer satisfaction focus within responsible financial guidelines· Directing and working with the Circuits teams to coordinate with circuit vendors on timelines and planning for existing and future business needs· Directing the CTI Team to maintain and mold a strong computer telephony integration platform· Directing the IVR team to support automated functions for clients· Developing and managing relationships with national and international vendors in relation to Telecommunications growth and opportunities· Guiding the evaluation and deployment of current and new technologies to maintain and expand service offerings in a demanding customer service environment· Performing other related duties as required or assigned Supervisor Responsibilities:Manage the Telecommunications, Circuits, CTI and IVR TeamsJob Requirements:· A bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Sciences or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired· Ten to fifteen years in a large business telecommunications environment· Extensive experience in the management of technology and staff in a dynamic environment· Extensive knowledge in the internal workings of the Avaya PBX, Genesys and ACD platform· High level of knowledge of VoIP technologies, including both H.323 as well as SIP· High level of familiarity with networking and computer technologies· Strong organizational and time management skills Work Schedule:· Full time position· Shift: 8a – 5p, Monday – Friday with on-page and after-hours contact
