Director, Finance - CapEx, IT, Care, Contracts

Our new Finance Director will be tasked with overseeing a large scale 3rd party contract as our finance liaison between our CIO and the vendor. This meaty role will include budgeting and forecasting responsibility for Customer Care, IT, Services and capital expenditures and directing a staff of three.

Your role will span a number of responsibilities, including:

 

Contract administration

- Review and analyze monthly invoices against contract

- Provide analysis of billing to CIO and Finance leadership team

- Liaise with vendor on billing issues and ensure all discrepancies are resolved

- Forecast vendor billing on a monthly basis and provide cash forecasting analysis to A/P and Treasury

- Liase with the Legal team and Business Leaders on contract negotiations

Capital expenditures

- Review and approve all capital expenditure contracts

- Schedule and coordinate physical inventories

- Track payments for debt covenants

- Forecast and budget monthly capital expenditures

- Liase with Corporate Fixed Assets Manager to ensure proper accounting of fixed assets

- Review and approve capitalized software memos

Customer Care/IT retained Opex/Business Development & Strategy/Technology

- Review and analyze opex on a monthly basis

- Provide monthly reporting and ad hoc financial analysis to CIO, Chief Corporate Development Officer and Finance leadership team

- Review and approve all IT contracts

- Forecast and budget monthly IT expenditures

- Provide support for monthly Op’s meetings

- Establish and maintain relationships with other IT vendors to ensure billing is accurate and timely.

Bring 10+ years of related finance experience with a few years of management experience under your belt. Experience in a technology company is desired. You view yourself as a business partner to the teams you support and have the ability to grasp business needs, appreciate & understand the intricacies of IT operations and communicate effectively. We need someone who can be a strong leader yet be accustomed to getting their hands dirty with financial analysis, budgeting and whatever else is thrown your way. You should be an expert in Excel and have an understanding of general accounting principles (financial reporting, cap software, fixed assets, capital appropriations processes). You should be able to work independently without close supervision, be flexible and adaptable to constant change, and have strong tact and diplomacy. To be successful you should be highly organized, have an ability to prioritize, organize and plan work under your own initiative, and you must exhibit extreme discretion in keeping all information confidential.
