Directional Drill Operator

Directional Drill Operator Job Description: SEFNCO Communications is looking for a Directional Drill operator.  Job function requires operation of Directional Drill (Ditch Witch 2020 or similar unit) in accordance with guidelines set forth by the Project Engineer or City/Municipality official relating to the required path for new conduit.   Candidates with experience operating additional construction equipment such as a back hoe, cable plow, and front-end loader are a plus.  CDL classification and any exposure to the installation of telecommunications infrastructure is also preferred but not necessary. Candidate must be able to work under minimal supervision and communicate courteously and pro-actively.  Able to complete projects despite obstacles; able to classify technical information and redirect efforts when necessary.    Preferred Prerequisites: Related Work Experience -         Performs all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment.-         Operates drilling equipment in the vicinity of existing utilities-         May be required to operate various pieces of equipment-         Working in manhole systems, verifying and proofing existing conduit systems-         Rodding and roping conduit systems-         Trenching in streets and landscape areas with excavating equipment-         Towing various trailers with flatbed trucks-         Provides support for crews during all phases of construction activity-         Minimum of two years experience with construction, excavation, and equipment operation.-         Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight forward, and professional manner-         Must possess a valid driver’s license.-         High school diploma or equivalent-         Successful criminal background check and pre employment drug screening is required.-         Ability to accurately measure distances, using tapes or other measuring device-         Ability to drive a company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner-         Ability to prioritize and organize effectively-         Ability to work independently Work Environment/Physical Activities -         Lift and carry loads of 70 lbs. or more-         Work and travel in inclement weather-         Exposure to moderate noise levels-         Vision ability: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus Interested Candidates please apply online at http://www.sefnco.com Our company offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package as well as opportunities for personal and professional growth.   MRINetwork, one of the world's largest search and recruitment organizations, has over 1,000 offices in more than 35 countries.
