Direct Sales Rep East - Pittsburgh, Pa. Posting NC50841219

This position is based at our Three Rivers Region office, RIDC Park, Pittsburgh.

The territories currently include: Rural Valley, Penn Hills, Tarentum, Castle Shannon, McKeesport, Greensburg and Kiski. Selling areas include: Punxsutawney, Clarion, Oil City, Kittanning, Bedford, Carolltown, and Frostburg. Some overnight travel is possible.



Qualified candidates will sell cable, telephone, and internet services to new or existing subscribers within assigned territory. The major duties consist of:



Acquiring new and upgrading current subscribers by conducting door-to-door canvas, appointment or referral solicitation in assigned territory.



Preparing and executing subscriber sales applications, arranging for installation dates, collecting and remitting revenues.



Upgrading and improving sales presentation, knowledge of products, services and rates and attending sales meetings as required.



Systematically reviewing assigned territory to ensure all dwelling units are contacted on a prescribed periodic basis.



Maintaining required record keeping and reporting of all sales and service activities.



Acquiring new or upgrade subscribers by direct contact. Perform other related duties as assigned.


Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.




Required Skills:
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to act independently, self motivated, professional appearance. Must be able to work evenings and Saturdays. Ability to work under pressure. Previous sales experience. Valid Driver's license and good driving record. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: Qualified candidates with minimum 1 year experience and proven sales skills encouraged to apply. A combination of small business owner background, business/marketing interests and actual door-to-door sales experience a definite plus. Working Conditions: Work around newly constructed homes. Ability to climb stairs in apartment dwellings. Travel in inclement weather. Ability to manipulate phone, pen and papers. Ability to carry 5 lbs. Ability to drive personal vehicle.
