p { font-size: 11px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 12px; } Responsibilities This position is a key device experience role within Verizon Wireless Device Strategy & Planning organization. The Device Experience (DX) Specialist will drive the overall Verizon Wireless user interface paradigm into the marketplace. Individual will drive critical interaction with our device suppliers and other partners to develop and implement a leading edge user interface that supports multiple strategic initiatives. As one of the DX members, you have a chance to drive and influence the design of both new products and product evolutions/enhancements. As new initiatives are identified, candidate will work with multidisciplinary teams including UI and engineers across OEM design centers. The individual will collaborate with domestic and international engineering, marketing, production and industrial design departments to deliver compelling experience for our customers. If you enjoy staying at the edge of mobile design trends and building and delivering a killer end customer experience through devices, supporting the development of compelling designs based on analyses and market data, then you will find this role highly rewarding and exciting.This position will be primarily responsible for:- Analyze and evaluate wireless UI designs from vendors, this includes an assessment of the internet UI technologies and exploring applicability for mobile handsets. - Drive critical interaction with our device suppliers and other partners to develop and implement a leading edge user interface that supports multiple strategic initiatives. - Define and document the elements of UI which must be usability tested by OEM for any value adds identified. This will include testing of the prototypes on an actual user.- Manage, and track progress of User Interface implementation and the certification phase before entering the Verizon Wireless Approval Process. This includes providing user analysis from internal VZW device trials.- Work closely with multiple internal organizations (of various disciplines including UI/UX design teams, Segmentation, Product Service Realization, and Product Marketing) on behalf of the Device Product Development team to understand critical input into the device roadmap decisions. Manage input of various stakeholders and drive execution.- Provide input to the VZW User Interface strategy through ongoing evaluation of competitive environment. p { font-size: 11px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 12px; } Qualifications BS in engineering discipline is required, with MS (preferred)UI technology and/or mobile device development background essential5+ years experience in wireless industry with in-depth technical knowledge of wireless devices and in-depth overall knowledge of wireless industry is requiredEngineering architecture expertise preferredA proven track record in technical vendor management skillsProficiency in MS Office inc. MS ProjectExcellent written and oral communication skillsOutstanding problem solving and analytical skillsStrong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams Proven ability to undertake multiple initiatives simultaneously is highly desiredHigh enthusiasm towards learning about new wireless products, devices and technology trends We are an equal opportunity employer m/f/d/v.
