Data Support Specialist

Summary of Responsibilities:Provide second level data support to Service Partners and internal customers.Perform level one support to data inquiries submitted through our web site.Resolve data and computer hardware/software related issues through in-depth troubleshooting/technical assistance.Provide "use of software" instruction to Service Partners.Identify software issues and create or apply solutions when available.Maintain tracking documentation in a database with detailed problems/resolution information.Own issue resolution from cradle to grave by monitoring unresolved issues and requests to ensure prompt resolution.Create/modify technical support documentation.Train Service Partners for level one data technical support and internal customers.Participate in team projects consisting of testing and rollout of new products/services that enhance the quality and efficiency of our support structure.
Qualifications:
Support Specialists must have at least 2 years experience with the following:Call center experience in a technical or telecommunications environment.Wireless, paging, telecommunications industry experience preferred.BS/BA degree preferred, certifications (A+, Network+, MCSA, etc), or equivalent work experience.Extensive experience/knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems such as Windows 9x, NT, ME, 2000, XP and Vista (Linux and Mac a plus).Knowledge of applications including, but not limited to: Dial-up Networking, AT commands, Hyper Terminal, Email clients, Networking & Protocols, Internet, and Registry settings preferred.Exceptional customer service & communication skills, both verbal and written.Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.Self-motivated.Able to work in a fast paced environment, while always maintaining a positive attitude and work effectively in a team environment.Bilingual/multilingual a plus.Must be flexible to work any shift required plus participate in an on-call rotation to support a 24x7 environment
Education Level:
Four-year degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Technology related fields or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
