Job Purpose:

Develop business oriented data warehouse for a rapidly expanding hosted telecommunications services business.  Design data warehouse, and related ETL processes for relational and star schema based on business data needs.

Position Requirements:

You are an expert with database design concepts in RDBMS and Star Schema Data Warehouse environments, i.e., normalization and dimensional modeling.  Expert knowledge in designing, building and documenting ETL scripts to load the relational and star schema databases. 

Ability to point out data layer problems early in the design phase based on known access patterns.  Passion for creating building blocks that can be used again and again.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.  Must be a team player comfortable interacting with Marketing, Finance and executive level.  Must be independent and detail oriented, ready to take ownership and a self starter. 

Minimum Requirements: 4+ years experience building enterprise class ETL scripts in data warehouse related work.  4+ years working with finance and marketing teams to provide data used to drive business decisions.  5+ years Oracle RDBMS database up to 10g.  2+ years experience creating and maintaining star schema. 

Job Description

As a key member of the Business Intelligence organization you will be responsible for reviewing and obtaining requirements, designing, developing and documenting ETL scripts for relational and star schemas, maintaining and supporting the business users, delivering on Ad-hoc requests and identifying which Ad-hoc requests should be added to the warehouse as standard reports.

You will assist in the review and selection of the Business Intelligence platform that will be fed from the data warehouse you help to create.
