Continous Improvement Manager

• Henkels & McCoy, Inc., one of the largest privately held international utility contracting firms, with offices in 80 cities and celebrating 85 years of operating with a reputation as one of the most reliable and innovative firms in engineering and construction, is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to oversee the improvement and quality efforts for H&M NetWorks. Responsibilities include program development and implementation, training and coaching employees, and facilitating change throughout the Region. This individual will lead problem solving and process improvement processes by defining problems, identifying gaps in performance, gathering data, deciding on solutions, implementing improvements, measuring results and ensuring changes are sustained. • Develop, implement, and maintain a continuous improvement program based upon LEAN principles that enhance all aspects of NetWorks Performance (customer value, quality, productivity and safety).
• Work with NetWorks Directors to focus on continuous improvement activities within their business units.
• Per NetWorks region, initiate a predetermined number of Kaizan events on a yearly basis.
• Facilitate the A3 development process for all NetWorks Groups, including Operating Offices, Safety, Administration, Equipment, Claims and Contracts.
• Work closely with management to establish sustainable LEAN practices that empower employees, accelerate change, and enable personal and team development.
• Develop and maintain a reporting process for continuous improvement projects. Perform regular updates on the progress of the teams and their achievement against key measurables.
• Serve as a change agent to challenge existing processes in place. Use data to communicate and support the opportunities that exist.
• Build and enhance quality management systems focused on customer satisfaction, business process standardization, reliability and effectiveness. • A minimum of 5 years in an operations management and/ or business systems management capacity.
• Four year college degree preferred or industry related courses and certifications. LEAN Construction Management, Contracts Management and /or Project Management Training preferred.
• Experience in LEAN methodology, the Toyota Production System or Continuous Improvement.
• Experience with communicating with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with accurately processing written documentation, performing duties in a timely manner and being highly organized.
• Must be willing to travel to project locations, as well as to H&M NetWorks offices.
