This position is a technical lead role. The candidate will be responsible for leading a group involved in the design and development of software for 3G wireless applications. Specific responsibilities include: Working with marketing and architecture teams to understand customer requirements and translate these requirements into product architecture, specification and design. Technical oversight of the work of the group, participation in technical discussions and design reviews Development responsibilities, including design, implementation and unit and integration testing in a variety of system software areas Participation in planning, work estimates and staffing assignmentsCreation of schedules and resource assignments, tracking of schedules to ensure critical project milestones are met Keeping in touch of technology developments in the industry. Day-to-day personnel management, including recruiting, performance management and team building Hands-on development may also be part of this position. Required Skills:Knowledge of and working experience with HSDPA architectures. Knowledge of and experience with TCP/IP and related protocols. Knowledge of and experience with Linux, or real-time embedded operating systems. Desirable, but not required, to have awareness and experience with wireless 3G core network architecture. Desirable, but not required, to have hands-on experience with 3G protocol testing and test equipment. Experience Required:10+ years experience designing and developing embedded software applications in the telecommunications industry. 3+ years project lead or management experience in a team environment, leading software development teams through the entire product life cycle. 3+ years experience designing and developing software for wireless network applications, specifically wireless protocols, Node-B development, or RNC development. BS or higher degree in Computer Science, EE/CS, or equivalent combination of Bachelor's Degree (Mathematics, Physics, etc.) and relevant experience.
