Communications Technician 4 - Line Tech Brick, New Jersey

Comcast Cable Eastern Division

* Responsible for all types of system maintenance including, but not limited to, preventive and demand maintenance of the cable plant and all equipment and products associated with it.
* Responsibilities also include timely completion of all related preventative maintenance tasks such as end of line measurements and testing, power supply maintenance, sweep and balance of both the forward and return of the system as well as leakage detection and repair.
* Responsibilities also include assisting other field personnel in the completion of all related tasks to achieve overall customer satisfaction.
* On Call/Stand-By emergency rotation coverage is required.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

Required Skills:
* Minimum of a Communications Technician III to apply.
* Understand and know basic electronic theory and cable television theory of operation.
* Know how to use basic test equipment to include SLM, VOM, Power meters, and Sweep
* Must be able to safely use hand tools.
* Must be able to handle and use a 28-foot ladder, which weighs 70 lbs.
* A valid NJ driver's license required
* Must be able to drive and operate an aerial lift truck
* Ability to work overtime as needed.
* Other Duties as assigned.
* Punctual, regular and consistent ascendance.
* Must be able to assume on call responsibilities to include weekends on rotation schedule.
