Comcast Cable Eastern Division

* Perform requested and non-pay disconnects according to Comcast procedures and safe work practices, NEC and NESC requirements, and local ordinances in order to provide requested services.
* A candidate must demonstrate sufficient aptitude for acquiring the skills and knowledge involved in the competent performance of the tasks relating to CATV installation and troubleshooting.
* Inspect existing bond or make new bond according to the National Electrical Code (NEC).
* Complete associated documentation with each work order in a timely manner in order to ensure all details of the work are recorded for entry in the customer's account once the work is checked in.
* Properly operate and maintain installation tools and equipment.
* Report need for vehicle repair or service when required and/or prescribed, report any accidents, losses, injures or property damage to supervisor and customer when appropriate.
* Apply knowledge and skills of training on the job in order to prepare for transition to Comm Tech 2.
* Perform other duties as requested by supervisor in order to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
* Provide the customer with materials regarding channel line up, use of converter and company policies as they relate to the customer as well as demonstrate these skills in order to educate the customer on the use of the equipment and company guidelines.
* Operate necessary hand tools, power tools, and company vehicle.
* Must be able to work staggered shifts
* Work in inclement weather.
* Mandatory Over Time. Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

Required Skills:
* High school diploma or the recognized equivalent.
* Cable installation, tools and hand tools experience preferred.
* Valid driver's license with good driving record.
* 3 months to 1 year as installer trainee or with CATV or related technical exposure.
* Climb poles, lift and carry 70 lbs or more.
* Must have good attendance record.
* Ability to work overtime, as needed.
