POSITION: SALES CLERK
DEPARTMENT: MARKETING
PURPOSE: To provide customers with clear and accurate information regarding company services and billing via telephone. Receives messages for Residential Account Executives and assists in the completion of work orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answers and responds to telephone inquiries from customers and potential subscribers regarding subscriber services, billing, pricing, and channel line-up.
Enters subscriber information into the computer terminal regarding scheduling, billing, disconnecting accounts, account transactions, and personal information.
Addresses converter boxes through the computer as Residential Account Executives call in orders.
Checks in and verifies accuracy of work orders completed by sales personnel by verifying campaign and service codes and by matching them against daily logs. Enters completed work orders into computer.
Assists in maintaining reports for various marketing projects.
Assists with the tracking of sales contests by manually counting the number of sales which each Residential Account Executive completes.
Assists Residential Account Executives with current promotions.
Assists Supervisor(s) and Manager with problem resolution for customers and with other internal departments.
Stocks and replaces product information brochures and forms in the information center.
* Type letters and various status reports and files documents.
Proofreads payroll logs against daily activity logs to ensure their accuracy.
Clears converter boxes which need to be returned to the warehouse by matching converter box numbers to subscriber accounts.
Assists Marketing and Sales Departments with promotions and informational tasks.
JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and the ability to learn Outlook.
Must be able to learn ACSR system for order entry and customer QC.
Must have complete familiarity with keyboard and accurately type 30 wpm.
Must possess strong customer service skills and proofreading skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Computer data entry experience preferred.
Must possess strong verbal communication skills including the ability to appropriately respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
Must be able to present information to other Division departments in a comprehensible manner.
Bilingual preferred but not required.
Must possess basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers accurately.
