Characterization (Mapping) Specialist

Job Purpose:

The Characterization Specialist assists in locating potential sites for our state-wide wireless network deployment using tower source databases, topographical maps, and Google Earth.

Essential Duties:

Transfer map boundaries between maps. Assist field surveyors find proper locations and suggest alternates as necessary. Evaluate point-to-point links and access point coverage areas. Insert, edit and delete information from database of sites within our proprietary software.Qualifications: Must be an analytical thinker, with strong technical and problem solving skills. Must be a team worker with strong communication skills. High School Diploma or GED required. Six months to one year experience required.
