Job Title: Cable Associate A

The shift is 6:30 P.M. to 6:30 A.M.

 

Job Summary:

The Cable Associate A will be responsible for performing various tasks in the setup, operation, and observation of equipment in the production of specialized coaxial cable and in the inspection and measurement of cable in process and finished product.  Employees will be required to work on one or a small number of production stages in cable production process.  To advance to higher levels of pay, employee is expected to continue to learn additional skills and steps in the production process.

 

Essential Functions:

- Major Action and Support Actions Set-up and run a variety of cable processing equipment as assigned.

- Equipment may perform a variety of tasks such as metal forming, insulating, seam welding, cable winding, etc.

- Tests and evaluates product quality electrically and mechanically using an assortment of electrical and mechanical measuring equipment.

- Maintain a high level of communication and teamwork with coworkers and supervisors in order to assure product quality, team productivity, and safety.

- Learn additional skill areas to be able to perform a greater variety of tasks.

 

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent required 3-6 months general factory or industrial experience a plus.

- In order to advance to higher levels of pay as a Cable Associate, employee must continue to learn and be able to demonstrate a wider variety of tasks and skills related to the cable production process.

- Must be able to push or pull up to 100 lbs.
