 Seeking an individual to serve as a software development resource for a development engineering group. The responsibilities of this position include design, development, and unit testing for complex and state of the art audio and video solutions. The ideal candidate is one who has a strong C/Linux background with excellent problem solving skills. This person must be a proven team player, self motivated, and able to learn quickly. Strong communication skills are needed for interaction with other members of the development team, test teams, and other departments. Desired Experience: • Linux device drivers • Linux kernel and system configuration • Low-level IP Protocol (stack layer) • DVB Transport Streams • MPEG2/4 Video • IP Multicast Required Skills:Required Experience: • 5+ years C development on large-scale applications • Linux/Unix on x86 or other platform • Multi-process and/or multi-threaded systems • One or more scripting languages • Various Unix IPC mechanisms (sockets, pipes, and message queues) • Network programming (TCP/IP, UDP) • Strong communication and time management skills • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Full development life-cycle (analysis, design, code, unit/integration testing) • Server / Black-box type development • Understanding of true real-time and event-driven systems
