Billing Verification Analyst (Englewood, Colorado)

Comcast West Division

- Evaluates a variety of billing situations to determine proper action to be taken and follows through to resolution.
- Performs validation of service rates, call plan rates, taxes, campaigns, bill messaging, change request implementations, etc.
- At times, may be required to contact customers when billing discrepancies arise to inform them of the situation and the resolution.
- Generates reports to analyze the depth of billing discrepancies and root cause.
- Establishes and maintains effective oral and written communications with external and internal customers specifically National Billing Support and management on billing contract problems.
- Performs daily audit of customer billing records to maintain accuracy of accounts. This includes verification of, as well as timely and comprehensive resolution of discrepancies discovered during the audit process.
- Interacts with other departments as necessary in a service sensitive manner.
- Through thorough examination of billing statements, identifies and ensures regulatory compliance.
- Complies with all established procedures and policies of Comcast. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
-High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
-One to three years cable or telephony industry preferred.
-Working knowledge of ICOMS and CSG a plus.
-Personal computer knowledge specifically in Microsoft applications.
-Ability to work effectively with team members.
-Must have demonstrated problem-solving ability and proven analytical skills.
-Must be able to communicate at all levels in the organization.
-Ability to understand the basics of government regulations as they relate to the telecommunications industry.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to handle detailed information accurately.
-Self-motivated with the ability to identify and interpret problems and take action with limited direction.
-Must be on occasion able to travel to various locations.
