p { font-size: 11px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 12px; } Responsibilities This position performs the reconciliation of electronic payments to the bank and billing system by conducting daily investigations of cash, internet, IVR, home banking and 3rd party payments to VZW reporting for accurate application in billing system. The incumbent interfaces with customer service, corporate collections and the banks and analyzes bank statements, agent receipts, ACH reports and customer tendencies to determine validity of requests and make appropriate adjustments within company policy.Researches and applies all customer payments from various sources to billing system. Determines the proper application of customer exception payments to include transfer requests, and research requests .Investigates and resolves all customer electronic accounts receivable discrepancies and customer service inquiries.Performs electronic lockbox payment and reconciliation processing.Prepares refunds for payments taken in error or misapplied payments.Partners with Treasury management, vendor management and IT to resolve escalated open issues and avoid repeat errors pertaining to the customer payment processing. p { font-size: 11px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 12px; } Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.Minimum of 1+ years accounting and finance experience.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ReconNet preferred.Working knowledge of PeopleSoft.Must be able to work under constant pressure to achieve team goals and meet deadlines set by company and departmental policy.
