Job Description: The ideal candidate will perform RF Design and/or RF Optimization on multiple technologies. supporting a nationwide effort for Greenfield deployment and Optimization of cellular networks. Candidate must be a good communicator and be effective in personal time management. Candidate must be able to effectively work in a team reporting to a Team Lead. Candidate must provide accurate and timely updates to the Team Lead on all issues. A high level of professionalism must be portrayed at all times.

 

Mandatory Job Qualifications: Bachelors in Engineering, or Technical Vocational degree, or at least 2-4 years of equivalent work experience required. Good theoretical and practical knowledge of RF propagation and telecommunications systems. Competency in operating MS Windows 2000/XP based computers and software. Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  MS Access is a plus. Must speak and write fluently in English. Candidates must be legal residents or authorized to work in the US for any employer. Work flexible hours and support night or weekend work as required.

 

Highly Desired: Masters in Electrical Engineering. Experience with various RF data collection tools and post processing tools (e.g. WirelessLogix, Comarco, Andrew Invex, Ericsson TEMS,  Xceed’s WindCatcher, ACTIX, etc.,) Experience with wireless voice and data networks based in the following technologies:  WiMax, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, CDMA, 1XRTT, and EVDO. Good understanding of data networking concepts and protocols (IP, PPP, TCP) Experience with system performance drive tests including cell site shakedown/ verification, cluster or market benchmark drive tests, and/or CW tests. Understanding of wireless network operational measures such as BER, FER, Call Processing, Call Statistics, C/I, data latency and throughput. Proficiency in MapInfo. Presently living in Southern California is preferred.
