Area Supervisor

Purpose Supervise area field office pertaining to all aspects of outside plant telecommunications construction.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage multiple employee and subcontract crews based upon daily work requirements set forth by customer representatives. Travel to various job locations to ensure and maintain high level of visibility in the field, monitor work quality, and ensure compliance with customer established specifications. Maintain proper and timely record keeping. Maintain and manage inventory levels. Manage vehicle and equipment conditions.  Assist Field Mechanic, Area Manager and Fleet Manager concerning repairs and maintenance.

 

Working Conditions An employee in this position works in an environment in which customer goals demand constant attention. Working conditions are those typical of a construction based environment.

 

Qualification Requirements Ability to effectively deal with other people, especially other customer personnel, to ensure needed cooperation while completing company goals. Working knowledge of RUS based telecommunication unit codes. Computer Experience:  Excel, Word Work Experience:  At least 5 years construction and 2 years supervisory experience.
