Slappey Communications, a progressive Birmingham communications company, is seeking to hire a full-time person with accounts payable and/or bookkeeping experience.

The job includes reconciling, paying, and tracking invoices, managing sales tax payments, entering and reconciling general ledger entries, and tracking and handling invoice discrepancies.

Great communication skills and the ability to interact successfully with vendors and coworkers is very important. Attention to detail, ability to stay on schedule, and ability to organize and plan is needed. Software that will be used is Quickbooks, Excel, Word, Access-based databases, as well as internally written software.

There are several growth paths available within the company for further advancement in the future if applicable.
