I. Position

The Account Manager is responsible for sales of enterprise-class contact center applications into major accounts across territory.

II. Responsibilities

Attainment of revenue and margin objectives through sales to both new and existing customers.
Management of long-cycle sales through both direct and indirect channels (in particular the Cisco and Cisco partner community)
Provide accurate forecasting and maintain complete account profiles
Judicious use of sales and support resources of the company in support of sales efforts
Timely pursuit of leads provided by marketing
Balanced advocacy for customer and company


III. Experience

Enterprise-class sales with experience selling $1M+ business applications to senior business and technical executives.
Strong knowledge of complex selling process.
Ability to understand customer business requirements, and to translate those requirements into complete turnkey solutions.
Experience selling contact center applications (call recording, knowledge management, collaboration, IVR/CTI, etc); must have a decent working knowledge of contact center operations and terms.
Desirable to have sold premise-based or hosted voice systems; must have a working knowledge of PBX technology, especially VoIP-based solutions.
Hunter mentality - must able to develop opportunities independently.
Professional and persuasive.

IV. Education

BA/BS in Business, Computer Science or related field. MBA is a plus.
7 or more years of successful enterprise application sales, in the communications or contact center industries.
