Web Based UI Developer

Job Description: Working closely with Application Developers, Database Administrator, Project Managers, and Business Analysts, you will be responsible for the design and support of our global applications. Working on multiple application development projects, you will apply your advanced proficiency in creating innovative solutions that meet requirements, exceed quality expectations, and ensuring satisfied internal and external customers. In addition, as a member of the team, you will mentor application developers, help set technical standards, and establish good communications with all stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: • Demonstrated technical leadership and a “take-charge� attitude • Analytical problem solving • Attention to detail/accuracy • Professional Maturity and excellent business acumen • Demonstrate appropriate level of confidence and urgency in taking action • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) • Organization and planning skills • Conflict management & resolution skills RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Lead the Requirements Gathering, Analysis, and Development phases of multiple projects • Provide recommendations and designs solutions to support Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). • Research and recommend solutions to existing business challenges • Mentor junior team members in technical and functional tasks • Provide timely and accurate information to external and internal customers • Ensure adherence to standards, and help develop policies and development guidelines. • Periodic off-hours production support MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • 2 Years ASP.NET Development • Familiar with portal-style user interface development (Experience in DotNetNuke environment preferred) • Experience & proficiency designing user friendly interfaces • Proficient in developing highly scalable, session based, transactional, web UIs • 2 to 4 years of overall development experience, with at least 2 years of the following: • C# application development in Windows environment • SQL Server 2000 or higher • 4+ yrs of systems level development using system level classes or system objects. • Multithreaded application development. • JavaScript, JavaScript Object Oriented Programming, HTML, XML, XML Schemas, XSL, and XPath. • Any experience prior to .NET must include object oriented – C++ or Java background (not just VB) • Be proficient in development of Microsoft .NET languages including C#, visual basic, and .ASPX. Must have working knowledge of non-Microsoft languages. • Must design and develop database structures including stored procedures, and data tables. • Must be able to understand and interpret class level design documents and code accordingly. • Use and maintain code and application libraries used by development staff. • Apply and have a proficient knowledge of application security standards. • Creates and contribute to technical specification documentation of development projects. • Respond to issue requests and maintain communications to submitter on progress of resolution. • Pluses – web services, application remoting, MSMQ • BA/BS Degree
