Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Placement Pros, the commercial division of Vedior North America (3rd largest staffing organization in the world) is accepting resumes for a Shipping and Receiving clerk located in Redmond, WA.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Receive, pick, audit and/or ship customer orders. Individuals in this position may be required to work interchangeably in one of several functional areas that together constitute the Distribution Department. Those major areas are Receiving, Picking, Auditing, and Ship Confirm/Packing. Requires the ability to perform all primary job tasks at an accuracy level of 99% or higher. Work is performed applying GMP standards and guidelines. This job involves routine and repetitive work, and tends to closely follow established procedures and processes, with minimal supervision. Uses visual aids, a variety of hand held equipment, and verbal and written instructions to process and ship orders.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate, and/or maintain shop equipment and tools where applicable. Adhere to environmental and safety procedures associated with production processes and procedures. Work from picklists, prints, drawings, method sheets, diagrams, workmanship standards or other specifications in accordance with established procedures, monitor and record related documentation to meet quality requirements. Communicate individual inventory needs for work center. Follow ship rates, schedules and meet time standards or communicate any issues. Interface with manufacturing systems using computers or other electronic devices as required. Collect, analyze, maintain and report data from shipping processes. Complete paperwork as appropriate for carriers. Perform other related duties as assigned.

JOB SKILLS: Candidate must be proficient in shipping and receiving processes, procedures, and systems in order to identify and implement improvements. Requires good written and verbal communication skills, basic reading and math skills. Good manual dexterity, basic computer skills, and eye/hand coordination. Able to act proactively and alert appropriate channels when issues arise. Ability to work and contribute in a team environment. Demonstrated proficiency in both shipping and receiving functions.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school education or equivalent. Two years experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS: May require performing visually detailed close-up work. May involve exposure to chemicals, solvents and solder fumes. May be required to wear personal protective equipment. May require movement of objects (up to 50 pounds). Occasional overtime required.
