Senior Executive Assistant - Financial District

Spherion Staffing is currently seeking an Executive Assistant for a large Financial District Client. Must have C-level Executive Assistant experience as individual will be supporting the Senior Vice President and CIO in this temporary to permanent opportunity.  The Executive Assistant will provide analytical and specialized administrative support to relieve and assist the executive with complex details and advanced administrative duties. The Executive Assistant will proactively take charge of the executive’s day-to-day schedule and activities while anticipating needs, making well-informed decisions and meeting deliverables in a timely manner.  Key Accountabilities: -Independently manages the day to day aspects of the executive’s daily operations including: managing a highly complex schedule, proactively and promptly managing changes in scheduling, agendas, priorities, and needs.  Provides essential business and analytical support.-Provides assistance, as needed, to the leadership team to help meet critical deadlines and shifting priorities-Serves as a resources and liaison for team. Manages, participates in and coordinates multiple projects and task forces as assigned.-Responds to and screens incoming calls and distributes to the appropriate persons/departments-Develops correspondence, responses and reports. Drafts speeches and presentations for executive, as needed.  Reviews correspondence and summarizes key actions required of executive.-Makes travel arrangements and prepares timely and accurate expense reports-Coordinates special functions and meetings including: location, attendee participation, catering, meeting materials and agenda preparation-Collects and prepares information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff and outside parties-Prepares presentation materials for board of director meetings-Participates in executive's staff meeting and tracks issues, projects and deliverables-Organizes video and teleconference meetings-Executes special or continuous research and data analysis tasks-Independently analyzes problems, determines approach, compiles and analyzes data and prepares reports/recommendations-Recommends changes to procedures and organization structure in an effort to promote more efficient and cost effective operationsRequirements:-Bachelor's degree and five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience-Previous experience in Human Resources is a plus -Good business writing skills -Effective presentation skills -Extensive knowledge of computers and related software applications -Good math, analytical and problem-solving skills -Ability to work with confidential information, interface effectively with senior management, both internally and externally, and handle sensitive issues with tact and discretion -Good organizational skills-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)-Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact effectively with senior management levels-Excellent multi-tasking skills and excellent attention to details-Strong work ethic; upbeat personality with a can-do attitude-Demonstrated sense of urgency, initiative, responsiveness, and a proactive approach to work-Ability to coordinate and facilitate telephone coverage during business hours-Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment-Ability to work independently with little supervision-Demonstrated ability to solve a wide range of complex or difficult problems-Ability to work with a team and form strong partnerships ***********Interested candidates please email your resume to jasonsweet@spherion.com *********************************** Since 1946, Spherion has been helping talented individuals find rewarding job opportunities that drive excellence in their career.
