You will be interfacing with executives of a large organization on a daily basis. This position will lead the design and architecture of enterprise scale Microsoft platform solutions as well as supporting 3rd party tools and systems and resides in the Client / Server group of Enterprise Computing Services.  This group is responsible for developing technical solutions utilizing new technologies for client/server operations. The group is also responsible for installing and implementing client / server systems and applications across the enterprise, including electronic mail as well as multiple Microsoft platform solutions (i.e., SharePoint, ILM, SCCM, and SCOM).   The qualified candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, supporting and documenting the installations/upgrades of Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Active Directory technologies.  This includes identifying, diagnosing and resolving CDI Email, network operating system, and MS Active Directory problems to ensure effective, reliable availability, connectivity, and performance.  Candidate will also provide development of detailed documentation such as SOPs, SWOT analyses, project plans and be comfortable handling high level engineering tasks and troubleshooting complex issues throughout the Enterprise.   Essential Functions: Maintains MS Active Directory throughout the enterprise Coordinates and organizes execution of client/server based projects and communicates progress to peers and Manager, Client/Server Engineering Assists in development of technical solutions utilizing new client / server technologies in line with the organization’s strategic and tactical plans Provides consultative services as they relate to client/server systems for all vertical lines of business and across all CDI owned offices Leads the planning, testing, documentation and implementation of MS Exchange system and network operating system and/or upgrades as required Provides detailed project plans and summary project related documentation as required Identification, diagnosis, and resolution of Exchange and Active Directory problems in a timely manner Administers all internal and external e-mail servers across the enterprise Administers all activities related to internal and external e-mail communications Administers the design and installation of anti-virus SW, upgrades and patches on all e-mail servers and user workstations Provides support to the day-to-day operations of all e-mail systems Provides third level support to the help desk, data center operations, NOC and global field based IT staff for the CDI Active Directory, and MS Exchange and Windows server environments Monitors the capacity, utilization and performance of all e-mail servers Participates with client / server engineers in the research and development of new related technologies as assigned Mentors NOC and remote field personnel on best practices related to Client/Server OS, standards, and methods Performs other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements/Preferences: 5-7 years of hands-on experience with designing and managing Microsoft Windows infrastructures in a large, geographically dispersed corporate environment (2000+ users) 5-7 years of hands-on experience with clustered Microsoft Exchange platform in a large enterprise environment Experience designing and supporting an Active Directory for a large, geographically dispersed enterprise 5-7 years experience with DNS, WINS, and DHCP Hands on experience with Quest AD Migration Suite toolset preferred Experience with supporting production Windows and Exchange environments in a 24X7 global operation 6 Years experience with Microsoft workstation operating systems Must have working knowledge, skills and ability to manage Enterprise Microsoft Windows Active Directory (AD) domains and provide system administration and technical support Enterprise experience in large environments is a must Ability to interface professionally at all levels of CDI hierarchy to effective resolution and high user satisfaction is a must Hands on experience in scoping, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting VMware and all associated technologies is a must Hands-on experience defining HW server specifications and proven ability to build needed hardware platforms in both physical and virtual configurations Come join the CDI team and watch your future grow.  Learn more about CDI and this opportunity by responding today! To APPLY it is necessary to include the Reference Code in the Subject Line of your response. The above major ongoing responsibilities describe only the essential job functions and are not intended to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities.  All job functions must be performed in accordance with CDI Corporate policies and procedures.
