Senior Accountant ? International Accounting

93451 Large, publicly traded company on Long Island is looking to add a Senior Accountant ? International Accounting to their staff. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter with 4-6 years of accounting experience who?s looking for a more challenging role in an extremely fast-paced environment. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for: Maintaining GL accounts and developing financial statements and reports for the firm?s domestic and international entities. Translating international financial statements into functional currency of the international entity in accordance with GAAP. Reconciling inter-company balances with foreign entities. Coordinating timing and delivery of international entities? financials. Participating in the month end close, analysis of budget variances, and posting of journals. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. CPA a plus. 4-6 years of Public / Private Accounting experience. 1+ year of experience in an international accounting role is REQUIRED. Strong analytical and communication skills. Proficiency with Excel and Word. Knowledge of Oracle preferred. Highly motivated, willing to learn new skills and processes. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a group environment.
