Sales for a marketing company

Location: New York City - Midtown





 

Salary:Base ($30,000 to $40,000) plus benefits and commission.

  There is 6 figure potential with the commission package.



 



 



Company Overview:

Our client is a distributor of promotional items. They provide clients with cutting edge creative items to give away at events,marketing tours, corporate functions, sporting events, as gifts with purchaseor on-pack bonuses.

 

They also design and produce private label products to sellat the retail level. All items are branded with the clients logos and aremeant to leave a lasting impression on their target audience and/or communicatetheir brand messaging. 

 

It is a small environment, a total of 11people.  Fun, young, fast growingpromotional marketing company is seeking a full time salesperson toaggressively bring in new clients.

 

Skill Set:

Must be a people person, must have an entrepreneurialspirit and a ton of energy.

 

Must come in hungry and ready to sell and becompetitive and confident.

 

Have the ability to survive in a fast pacedenvironment and possess great follow-through and relationship skills.

 

Excellent phone manner and professionalism.

 

Work hard and accept challenges.

 





Qualifications:

At least two to three years of salesexperience with a proven track record. .. they do not want an 'ordertaker'.

 

They need to have some experience with selling a'service'.  At the end of the day it's aproduct we are selling but our positioning is more along the lines of a serviceindustry.  We sell fun products and comeup with creative ideas so we need someone that has the right personality to dothat.

 

College grads- you must be hungry and ready to pound the pavement.

 Excellent communication skills, excellent presentation skills, excellent prospecting and cold calling skills.

 

Professional demeanor.

 

Established contacts in marketing, sourcing orprocurement divisions - preferred but not a requirement.  The industry takes a little time to getthrough the gatekeeper and get in the door. Someone with a book of business in 'marketing' or 'public relations'would be ideal.
