SR MANAGER, FINANCIAL TRADING PROGRAMS

Senior Manager, Financial Trading Programs (FTP) (5297)(Commercial Operations & Fuels Group) Responsibilities:Responsible for development, coordination and implementation of FTP strategies, tactics, processes, controls and metrics necessary for the successful hedging of market price risks for a 3+ billion dollar energy commodity portfolio (power, natural gas, coal, fuel oil, nuclear fuel, emission allowances and reagents). Manage broad range of inherent commodity price risks to improve price predictability, meet budget expectations and maintain competitive costs for customers while maintaining strict compliance with program guidelines and controls including Sox compliance. Develop new hedging programs and continuously improve existing programs. Monitor overall business performance. Communicate FTP strategy, positions and results to senior executives, other internal organizations, customers and stakeholders. Develop, monitor and report appropriate metrics to measure effectiveness and success of hedging programs. Utilize benchmarking to establish leading industry practices, improve program performance and maintain/improve competitive edge. Respond to key market and industry dynamics that impact energy hedging and trading operations.  Understand drivers and variables related to Power Supply Planning process and impacts to FTP.   Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or equivalent education, training, and experience and 10+ years of progressive management experience with at least 5-8 years experience in financial and energy markets.  Experience in trading floor environment preferred.  An understanding of commodity markets, financial instruments, financial analysis and power system operations.  Salary:  $100,000 - $130,000  (plus bonus and relocation) MRINetwork, one of the world's largest search and recruitment organizations, has over 1,000 offices in more than 35 countries.
