SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior HR Generalist provides “hands-onâ€� administration and leadership for a wide variety of assigned human resources programs and/or functions.  These include:

 

Recruit exempt level technical and professional positions. Represent company at job fairs and related functions.  Conducts employee orientations and/or exit interviews

 

Employee relations – facilitate problem identification and resolution.  Monitor morale to maintain a union-free work environment.

 

Compensation - Assist in the administration of the job evaluations, performance appraisals and merit increase recommendations. 

 

Benefit Administration -Respond to applicant/employee and supervisory benefit inquiries. Assist in the planning administration of various benefit programs.

 

EEO/Affirmative Action - Assists in the development, maintenance, and implementation of facility affirmative action plan, and affirmative action training programs.

 

Training - Assist to determine training needs, establish and evaluate training plans.  Write or revise non-technical training programs.  Schedule and conduct training classes. 

 

 

REQUIRMENTS:

1.  Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years experience as a full-range Human Resources generalist

 

2.  Experience providing HR support in a manufacturing setting.

 

3.  Working knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and regulations, including EEO/AAP requirements for government contractors.

 

4.  Ability to effective recruit exempt technical and professional positions using traditional and non-traditional techniques.

 

5.  Ability to research, write and deploy policies, procedures, job descriptions, position papers and proposals.  Familiarity with point/factor job descriptions such as Nation Position Evaluation Plan a plus.

 

6.  Familiarity with basic compensation planning techniques such as wage surveys, market pricing, etc.

 

7.  Effective use of a personal computer and associated word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation software.

 

8. PHR or SHRM certification a plus.
