We are currently seeking a Research Associate to join our growing team.

Position Description – Research Associate:

 

This key role will report to our Vice President/Operations and will work with Recruiters and Sales Associates to assist in the identification, assessment and placement of executive team members.

 

The Research Associate will simultaneously work on multiple assignments with different recruiters.  This role requires the ability to multi-task across several time-sensitive assignments, while working with diverse styles and personalities within a small team environment to deliver exceptional results.

 

The Research Associate role will require self-driven research and education to understand the unique needs and business models of each client.  Additionally, the preferred candidate will need the ability to identify and assess candidates quickly to determine their appropriateness for open positions.  This individual should be engaging and thorough, and most importantly should possess an intellectual curiosity and a will to succeed.

 

This individual will gather accurate and timely information about high technology companies, industries and individuals, including comprehensive company profiles, organizational charts, employee biographies, detailed contact information and reporting relationships within targeted high-technology sectors.

 

Major Responsibilities:Contribute actively to the start-up phase of the search by participating in client kick-off meetings with the Recruiter and assisting in the development of the search strategy and target list of companies. Gather relevant information regarding the appropriate industries and target companies, including identifying prospects and sources through database and market research. Present a comprehensive universe of qualified candidates to the Recruiter during the course of the assignment and track and supply additional information for the Search team (e.g., related industry trends, compensation data) gained during the course of a search. Prepare information for weekly client progress meetings by teaming with the Recruiter. Be organized and well-prepared for update or progress meetings by anticipating the information needs of others. Contribute to the firm’s knowledge management activities by looking for opportunities to share expertise and best practices, developing a network of people within an industry or functional area and recording information in a timely manner. Remain current with changes in general business, industry and functional areas by utilizing external information from the Internet and other electronic resources for industry, company and people intelligence.

Ideal Experience: College graduate with at least two years of applicable business or academic experience. Successful candidates will have worked with advanced information technology and understand the IT environment and vocabulary. Experience working in a consulting environment and/or a role where multiple projects and competing demands are the norm.

Project Management - Manages projects to a high quality outcome as measured by internal and client feedback while working with multiple searches on short deadlines, with diverse client contacts with differing styles, and/or with clients who have high expectations. Communicates realistic timelines, reassesses priority in workload, takes ownership for the process by committing to deadlines, communicates progress regularly and delivers on that commitment.

Collaboration/Partnering - Promotes an open and solutions-oriented atmosphere. Deals with critical and time-sensitive issues using well-developed judgment and responsiveness. Shares work information with colleagues appropriately and promptly.
