RELIABILITY ENGINEER
Location US-KS-Wichita Reliability Engineer Description ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION: The Reliability specialist will be responsible to conduct aircraft level assessments and prepare documentation, such as: Dispatch/mission reliability analyses, Reliability Prediction Reports, etc. The specialist will also be expected to support and work jointly with System Safety and Maintainability colleagues, as well as assist the FRACAS (Field Service history) group in an ongoing role, as required. The specialist will be required to review and oversee vendor conducted reliability analyses as they relate to the RMAS process. Qualifications REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES OF APPLICANT: Education: Bachelors degree in engineering, a related curriculum, or equivalent combination of appropriate education and experience. Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred. Must have detailed knowledge of the existing reliability processes and tools used to execute the process. Must also be familiar with requirements and guidelines of 14 CFR 25.1309, and AC 25.1309, as well as the RMAS process as contained in ARP4761, and ARP 4754. Must have a logical, analytical, problem-solving mind. Minimum of 5 years relevant experience required. General Attributes: Proven reliability and aircraft certification experience necessary. Ability to understand and present complex technical concepts and issues in a clear, concise manner, both verbally and in writing. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including databases. The applicant must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with an ability to prioritize individual and Team deliverables/activities and meet targets. Applicant must be willing to travel as necessary to support program development and work evenings and weekends, if necessary.
