Requirements: High School diploma or eq. Experience in procurement processes. SAP Experience. Experience working with Proprietary database systems. Working toward CPM or other procurement qualifications. Experience with MS Suite: including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook. Responsibilities: This candidate will be conducting purchasing of industrial products, which includes electrical products. This person will interact with 10 - 50 suppliers. Purchasing agent will process purchase orders, expedite existing ones, resolve invoice discrepancies, and other tactical purchasing tasks. Will have to communicate with Suppliers and Buyers. Must be able to take direction, be motivated, and eager to learn more. Executes tactical purchase orders and expediting to ensure the timely availability of quality materials. Translates demand requirements into procurement requests and orders to ensure the timely availability of materials. Analyzes material availability and arranges purchasing and/or or in-house production of parts to ensure timely availability of materials. Plans simple operational procurement processes (quantity standards, planning the introduction and phasing out of products, capacities) to increase EVA by optimizing processes. Controls orders, credit-debit entry procedures and processes in the incoming goods department/ warehouse to achieve short lead times. Resolves supply chain logistical and accounting problems with suppliers and internal customers. Develops, maintains and distributes procurement related metrics reports to management.
